Does anyone know the recipe for the Patio's Chicken ala King? It was the best. I think the puff pastry is what made it. I have the Strawberry pie, but would really like that recipe as well.

You make a great point. And when the Administration says "Americans are committed to contraception with no co-pays!" I have to scratch my head. In most cases, kids visits to the pediatrician have co-pays and so does everything else. If we're not even treating kids for no out of pocket cost to parents, I'm not seeing the mandate to provide contraceptives with no minimal co-pay. $5 sounds right.

I get that. In fact, I just read an article that said people who want to end abortion should donate to Planned Parenthood for these very reasons. That said, there are some (not all) pro-life people who take issue with any contraceptives that block the implantation of a fertilized egg. For these folks, though, funding condom distribution and safe sex education should absolutely be a top priority. Thanks for bringing this up.

“this is a freedom of religion issue” as if freedom of religion is somehow different from freedom of conscience"

Some that discuss this issue look at the Catholic church as a philosophy, but the government is looking at them like a business. They are a business of sorts...their product is faith and service to others, so in essence, their very "product" is being attacked. Much like telling the Coca Cola company "we will formulate your secret syrup recipe from now on because we know best"
Not sure why they can't just offer 2 plans: one that covers contraception and costs a nominal extra fee ($5/month more) and one that does not. People could choose, and the extra $5 people pay "out of pocket" could be in effect "paying for" the extra services leaving the church and their beliefs alone. Is that too simple?

That is the longest definition of “slippery-slope” I’ve ever read.
The surest way to ensure a pro-life agenda is to be pro-contraceptive. In fact, perfect adherence to the latter would render the former obsolete.
