D’yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? (Oh, Cardinal Directions! is up on Fictionaut)

Here’s a story I wrote two years ago.  It workshopped very well, and peers and instructors I respect a great deal liked it.  No mags want it, so I’m sharing it here.  It’s up at Fictionaut.  It’s also an excuse for me to post pictures like these:

  1. Damn straight, brother; Amen. The change in point-of-view really threw me at first, but I think I have the beginnings of understanding. Assuming it’s true to life, that EPT-related vignette is such a, err, Ricky-ish thing to have happened.

  2. Thanks, man. The EPT thing didn’t really happen, but it’s so easy to imagine it happening because of my inspiration. He’s so easy to imagine in so many situations. He lives.
